Agua Amarga and Carboneras: the perfect excursion for the out-of-summer months

We’re very pleased to offer our new Agua Amarga and Carboneras tour, which is the perfect excursion for the out-of-summer months!

We depart from Vera – Mojácar and surrounding area and drive down the coastal road into the Cabo de Gata Natural Park, stopping at interesting places along the way. We drive down as far as Agua Amarga, where we visit the village and its surroundings. We then head to Carboneras, where we take a look around this picturesque fishing village.

Agua Amarga and Carboneras offer a wonderful introduction to the character of this stretch of the Mediterranean coast.

Agua Amarga is a small coastal village known for its relaxed atmosphere, whitewashed buildings and attractive beach. It is an appealing place to slow down, enjoy the seaside setting and experience a quieter side of Andalucía away from the larger holiday resorts.

Carboneras has a different character. With its fishing heritage, seafront promenade and traditional town centre, it offers a glimpse of a working coastal community as well as access to some of the spectacular landscapes around Cabo de Gata.

The trip also reveals some of the area’s most striking scenery, where rugged hills meet the Mediterranean and the landscape changes from dry, rocky slopes to inviting coastal views.

With our Agua Amarga and Carboneras excursion, you can discover this part of the Almería coast without having to plan the route, worry about parking or organise your own transport.

Departing from the Vera and Mojácar area, the experience is designed to make exploring the coast straightforward and enjoyable, with local guidance to help you appreciate the places you visit.

It is an excellent option for couples, friends and anyone who wants to see more of Almería during their autumn holiday.
