The route is approximately 8 km with around 200 metres of ascent, including a couple of fairly steep climbs and an unlit 250-metre tunnel. A reasonable level of fitness is required.

Mining Heritage Walk
Step back in time as you follow the route of an old, disused mining railway through one of the area’s most dramatic historic landscapes. Discover abandoned buildings, shaft entrances, tunnels and other mining infrastructure set among towering mountains, deep gorges and panoramic views.
Continue through groves of olive, almond, citrus and pomegranate trees, with opportunities to enjoy the area’s wild flora and perhaps spot some local fauna. Pass through a traditional white Andalusian village, see a picturesque fountain and view the atmospheric ruins of an abandoned Moorish mosque.
This circular route covers approximately 8 km and includes a couple of fairly steep climbs, with around 200 metres of total ascent. It also passes through an unlit tunnel approximately 250 metres long, so a torch or mobile phone light is recommended.
